Classroom College Essay and Information Course

Did you know that in areas such as Beverly Hills, Newport Beach and Marin County, almost every student has a private college counselor? Some families are spending $2,000- $10,000 for these expensive services.

Often these counselors don’t even do the work themselves. The evaluation of crucial college admission essays is often passed off to untrained assistants.

At AHEAD OF THE CLASS we have a much better solution! Heather Chagnon Gruenbaum, college admission essay expert, teaches a College Essay and Information Course. During the sessions, students are privy to inside information about college admissions and gain an understanding of the admission point systems for different universities, which determine how grades, test scores, activities, honors, as well as other participatory and life events are weighted and valued for admission. The main focus of the course is to help students with what is often considered the most difficult portion of the application process: the preparation and writing of college admission essays.

After the physical course, support continues and students are encouraged to email Heather a certain number of college admission essays for whatever colleges they are applying to before November of their Senior year. Heather Chagnon Gruenbaum analyzes ALL essays personally.

Classroom courses are offered in the following California counties: Sonoma, Marin, Napa and Orange.

Course costs start at $500, depending on length of time and other factors.
